Pave the Way

Chip Polk & The Ragtown Gospel Band have compiled an album of their fans’ most often requested songs in their new album, PAVE THE WAY. These are familiar, beloved songs, but performed with the signature power and the soaring range that thousands who have attended their Ragtown Gospel Theater concerts have come to expect at every live performance.

A highlight of this album is an unforgettable rendition of I’ve Just Seen Jesus, by the powerful vocal duo of Chip Polk and Brenda Rhoades. Another comes when Chip brings his daughter, singer Jency Anciso, back for an encore performance with the band, belting out Dottie Rambo’s wonderful song, I Go To The Rock.

No one sings I’d Rather Have Jesus like Chip Polk does. Also falling into that category, according to fans, would be You Raise Me Up, Until We Fly Away, He’s Alive, and Then Came The Morning.

These are songs that paved the way for the music of the Ragtown Gospel Band, so in one way this CD is their tribute to such artists as Ivan Parker, the Booth Brothers, Guy Penrod, David Phelps, Bill Gaither, the Hoppers, and others who have been the faithful stewards of gospel music.

Just as their concerts are far more than music, and mere entertainment, this album resonates with the heart of the Ragtown Gospel Band…their collective heart for Jesus. Their prayer that everyone who listens would hear the joy that comes from knowing we are more than loved…we are approved and sealed, safe in the hands of a Savior who will never let us go.

As an added incentive to Ragtown Gospel Theater fans, the band has pledged the net proceeds of the sale of PAVE THE WAY to paving the way to Ragtown! So every CD you buy takes a bump out of the road!
