“I’ll Do The Miracle”

By March 1, 2012No Comments

There’s a song that I love to sing. It is called “I’ll Do The Miracle.” It is a song about God’s ability to do anything, and I believe it. There are times in all our lives that we come to a place where a miracle is the only answer. I’ve seen miracles, as have you. Right now we are praying for a big one at Ragtown Gospel Theater. Well…big to us. Just a smile and a nod for God.

See, I believe God is always smiling and nodding, either in loving approval, or loving encouragement that He’s still right there, even though I’ve completely blown it. That certainty is the source of the joy I have in singing the songs we perform, and in writing the plays we produce at Ragtown. I want people to know our smiling, nodding God. A God who is for us. He made each one of us exactly the way He wanted us, and loves us because we are.

People constantly remark about the depth and substance of the plays.  It is the personality of God that my brother and I hope to communicate. Him, reflected through the people we portray. I believe people get that. And that is what people need so badly—to know who God is. To know who we are in His eyes. And to bask in the vastness of His acceptance and love. That is something guaranteed to fuel every day with an unquenchable desire to live a life that will honor the God who loves us enough to offer His Son as a sacrifice in our place, and to place His Spirit within us.

I believe God is working in people’s hearts today to allow us to continue to present this message.  And expand the impact beyond our live productions. We have a vision to increase the distribution of the videos of our productions all across the country.  Already, we routinely have orders from distant states.  Home groups are using the plays for study and discussion. There are missionaries screening our plays on the other side of the world. I don’t believe God is going to let it all end yet.

Pray that those who are considering helping us through this financial tribulation will be moved to contribute generously…so generously that what we now see as a wall we are up against… is actually an enormous door that we are all going to see opened wide!
